DIY Valentine’s Cupcake Toppers

A few days ago my kids asked me to make cupcakes for them, so we decided to have some fun and we made Valentine’s Cupcake Toppers to put on them. It was a lot of fun. The kids had fun making their own designs. We used the crafting supplies we got from Oriental Trading Co. like the Arrows, beads, charms, etc. You can check them all out and more on their website. We also used a couple different gauges of wire. These are great for friends, family night, or even for teacher gifts!

We used about 12 inches of wire for each design. I have a nice pair of wire cutters that I love since they have the fine tips on them that I can use to bend the wire. These are going to be almost essential to make sure your pieces are secure. It is fun to get all the different kinds of beads, charms, and decorations out and let them have fun designing and creating. We also made some that we used in our flower vases as decorating and other places around the house.

There are so many different used for these. You can use them and make Valentine’s Day cards, use them for vases with flower arrangements (just made the wire longer on the bottom), put them in your house plants to add some holiday fun. I would love to know how yours turned out and what ideas you came up with!
